In classic SLB Romantic Transitional style, here’s a before and after that is the epitome of taking a space from “Bare Bones to Beautiful!” ⠀
⠀
You don’t need to knock down walls or do major construction to make a huge impact. We highlighted the existing architectural details of this space, like the huge windows that let in so much beautiful natural light.
Can you believe this room started like this:
And when we were finished, it came together like this:
We loved working with these clients. This room was part of phase one, which included the foyer, the dining room, this piano room, and an office update you can check out here.
When they purchased this home, they knew that it was going to need a lot of work. It was very dated, with lots of wood tones and paint colors that didn’t suit their style. But they recognized beautiful architectural details that could be highlighted with the right renovations and styling.
They were referred to us by the fabulous Kim Trouten, and we were happy to help them update this space with our signature Romantic Transitional style!
This space was a blank canvas, but the floor to ceiling windows needed to be the feature of the room! We split the room into two spaces, one defined by the Piano, the other a seating area by the fireplace. But the window treatments were the main focal point that brought everything together!
This big empty room had so much potential! We transformed this space into an amazing Piano Room for our clients, who are truly entrenched in the “arts” in their everyday lives. They spend time at Jazz concerts, musicals, and many theater shows locally.
They also travel the world, so we wanted to create a grand space that felt very much like a luxury hotel, like being on vacation in their own home using pieces and colors they absolutely loved.
This client can now enjoy cocktail hours at home, with their player piano and sitting area overlooking their stunning pool, all framed out by gorgeous floor to ceiling custom drapery panels.
When I tell you these stunning panels MADE the room, they absolutely, 100% did.
It’s my rule of thumb, if you want a space to feel complete, you need a window covering of some kind. In this case we are going for an elegant, luxe look and the drapes were the icing on the cake!
Stay tuned for more updates! We’re working on the kitchen, master bedroom, and master bathroom. If you’re ready to get started on your own renovation and love our Romantic Transitional style, let’s talk soon! It all starts with a Discovery Call.
